About us
This is David and Lisa's new website. We are both recovering alcoholics, (David since 1990 and Me since 1987)and we absolutely insist on enjoying life! We were married in 1997. One year later David was told he needed a liver transplant within 2 years or he would die. On May 19, 2000 David received his transplant. I named the new Liver "Grace". In March of 2003 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and had a lumpectomy, chemo and radiation and have been cancer free since then. So now we are both "Surviving with Grace".
David has 4 children from his first marriage and we have 10 grandchildren. The "children" are: David Jr., Eva, Amy and Mario. David is married to Angela and lives in Springdale with our youngest granddaughters Lilly and Hadessa Ray (Hattie) who are both very bright lights in our lives. Eva lives here in Fort Smith with her husband Darrell, and our beautiful grandchildren, Evan, Vanessa and Van, our oldest grandson, who is now a student at UA Fort Smith, where I happen to work. Amy also lives here in Fort Smith with our beautiful grandchildren Eva and Eli. Mario, David's youngest, lives in Laredo, TX with his wife Jessica and our beautful grandsons Daxton, Dawson, and Daegon. Our grandchildren are the most beautiful, intelligent children in the world because their grandma says so and don't you forget it. David's brother Chuck lives happily in Spiro Oklahoma with his lovely wife Theresa who we are so grateful for.
My sister and I lost our mother in 1969 to murder by her friends. We were blessed enough to be raised by our mother's adoptive parents that we called grandma and grandpa. I am so thankful for their example of how to be a wonderful grandparents. They both passed on many years ago. My incredible sister Robin lives happily and fully in Shelton, Wa with her wonderful boyfriend Billy. Robin has 2 beautiful daughters, Amanda and Mirissa and Amanda has 2 incredible children Dylan and Shaylee who are also the most beautiful and intelligent children in the world. Robin's son Matthew had Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and left us in 1997. He is gone but never forgotten by any of us.
I have been married and divorced twice before I finally met my true soul mate David. We have been married over 12 years now and have such a wonderful time together. I work at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith and love it. David and I love to travel and fortunately I have good benefits and lots of vacation time so we can go on trips fairly often. We are going on our 4th cruise in November of this year and planning our 5th for sometime next year. We are truly blessed with a wonderful life.
